WOAH! It’s been busy hence the no postage. What has I done since last post? Well, I did my presentation for the Grampian Business Awards finals, MAN, that was scary. I didn’t actually think I could stand up in front of 3 high-profile businessey dudes talking about Coco Violet for 10 minutes (actually I think I went a bit over…). It was immense. The adreniline must have kicked in as I practiced the pitch twice and I ‘ummed…and ummhhmeed’ alot, but I *think* I aced this one. I was well chuffed with myself. I also had to multitask by using Powerpoint and displaying mood boards. When I had finished that, they grilled me with grilling-type questions. “Is there anything you would have done differently…. It seems you have achieved your dream..what now…etc etc”. I stumbled on one (of which I can’t remember) but I think I answered the others with validity.
I stepped outside the presentation room only to be bombarded with video cameras and a great big shiny light in my face. I was interviewed for a bit then I had to pose for some photos.
This was all over by 11.30 am. I really should have gone home for a sleep but NO! I went back to the shop…worked…got home…put on some lippy…pub…fish&chips&champagne&painting party…3am…home.
AND for the first Saturday EVER this year I stayed in. It felt very odd. It was like I had forgotten to do something. Also very strange was watching Britains Got Talent on a Saturday night instead of Sunday.
Of course I am making up for it this weekend. Tonight Mel is coming over to plan our costumes for tomorrow. I shall be dressing up as ‘Mermatey’ (as in the bubble bath) and she will be ‘Sailor Geraldine’. We are flyering for Obedience School and then attending the local goth night, Elizium. Dressed as a camp sparkly pink mermaid. ACE.
Sunday sees the event of Obedience School – Aberdeen’s premier fetish night. Now I’m not into fetish, but it gives me a chance to get all dressed up in silly things. I am wearing my steel boned cherry print corset, satin hotpants and silly shoes.
Esentially the past few weeks have consisted of more partying, working hard and having a cold but that’s gone now so rejoice!
I will update on what the awards results are after I go to the ceremony on the 12th June. EEP!
